InnoVar project completed 84 field trials across Europe, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards revolutionising crop variety testing and decision-making. From Core bread wheat to drought-resistant durum, our trials cover a spectrum of environments, providing invaluable insights into crop x environment interactions.
In a bid to cultivate knowledge and nurture the future of agriculture, our partner, University College Dublin (UCD), hosted a series of trial visits in 2022. The first set, held on April 27th and 28th, 2023, catered to approximately 20 specialized crop students eager to delve into the intricacies of modern agricultural practices. The second event, a gathering of agronomists and technical experts on June 10th, 2022, saw an impressive turnout of 25+ attendees.
These trial visits were windows into the world of cutting-edge research and innovation. UCD provided a firsthand look at the trials they’ve meticulously organized within the university premises. Attendees had the unique opportunity to learn about diverse crop varieties, and variety tests in the field.
The events underscored UCD’s commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and on-the-ground practices. By bringing students, agronomists, and technical experts into direct contact with trials.
Initiatives like these trial visits become crucial in shaping the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Stay tuned for updates on our ongoing journey of innovation and discovery!
