The InnoVar project is organizing a trial visit in Santaella, Córdoba on Monday, at 10:30. The visit aims to showcase the VCU trials, which demonstrate the different performances between varieties and explain how the InnoVar project can help develop decision-making tools.
The VCU trials include the Core and drought ones, although the watered part is not as good as it should be since authorities have forbidden watering crops in the region due to the dramatic drought experienced in the area. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the trial visit will provide farmers in the region with valuable insights into the performance of different crop varieties and how they could be better adapted to the local climate.
The trial visit is expected to attract mainly farmers from the region and possibly some cereal seed companies. Around 15 people are expected to attend, although this number may be subject to change due to the ongoing drought and its impact on agriculture in the area.
The trial visit in Santaella is an excellent opportunity for farmers and other stakeholders to learn more about the InnoVar project and how it can help improve their decision-making processes. The visit will also provide valuable insights into the performance of different crop varieties under challenging weather conditions, which is particularly relevant given the ongoing drought in the region.
